Harry's first Easter with family...
Easter here was special, it being the first we've celebrated together as a family. On Friday we decorated eggs, using a kit that Irina gave us when we left Russia in February. They're beautiful, and both boys had a great time helping. This year we chose to dye all the eggs red - a reminded that Jesus dies for us. The eggs were then decorated, and the finished products were some of the best we've ever done. From there it was cookies. The kids were very enthusiastic, and were pretty helpful...until it came time to clean up....you know how that goes!
In between the eggs and the cookies they had their first picnic on the back deck. Hard to believe it was warm enough for that - considering it was 40 degrees today!
While Harry had no idea what was happening, he thoroughly enjoyed his day today. Hunting for eggs inside, posing for pictures, Sunday school & Church services, more egg hunting outdoors. and an entire afternoon with family that included the four of us, Levi, Devin & Matt, Grammy, my brother Steve, and his daughter Jen. We also got to talk to my brother in Oklahoma, and Mike's parents on Cape Cod, so it really was a special day.
Considering all the activity and junk food, both boys were exceptionally well behaved ALL DAY! By the time bedtime rolled around, they were EXHAUSTED, and went to sleep easily. Watching my now sleeping boys, I continue to be amazed at how effortlessly Harry has bonded with his family, and how lucky we are to be a family.

I never noticed how much Harry and Skip look alike, but after seeing the first two pictures in this post... WOW! they really do.
So Aidan just read the post with me and pointed out that the picture he drew is on ya'all's fridge... He went nuts and thought it was the coolest thing!!!
Yep Aidan, that picture is proudly hanging on the fridge. When I get caught up with my scrapbooking, I plan to use it on the ATL airport page as well! We loved it!
