"..then they kiss and they'll be married..."

Yesterday when Skip asked if we were going to the boat as we usually do, I reminded him that we wouldn't because we'd be attending Miss Leanne & Mr. Joey's wedding. He's only been to two weddings before, both of which were 4 years ago and he clearly doesn't remember. He asked me what we'd do at the wedding, and I gave him an abridged version of the ceremony and reception. Well this morning as the boys were dressing into their suits, Harry asked why we were going to church. Skip told him because it was a wedding, and went on to describe what would happened.

He got some of the points right, not necessarily in the correct order: "then the pastor gives them rings and they say some vowels and then they kiss and they'll be married". Harry of course just nodded, giving the impression he understood. Of course we all know better.

Leanne and Joey are members of our church and have recently became involved with the Youth Ministry, working with Skips group in the Kids4Truth club the attends on Wednesday evenings. The bride was absolutely beaming - and gorgeous as usual. Not to say that Joey didn't look quite handsome himself! The boys were excellent during the ceremony and were mesmerized by the long train on Leanne's gown. "Wow, big dress" is how Harry responded!

At the reception, the boys were intriggued by the glass clinking, and once we explained what it meant, both had the same reaction, 'Yuk". It was a beautiful day, and we're so glad we were able to attend and share in this very special occasion! As you'll notice below, the boys cleaned up pretty well from their mud escape yesterday!
