Vacation highlights: Harry's Rocks
The night before we left Menemsha for Cotuit, Harry spent a good deal of time collecting rocks in little sand pail. Not small rocks, but big, heavy ones. We had no idea what he was up to til he came to us asking if he could bring them back to the boat. Mike, quick on his feet, told him "Sure, if you carry the bucket ALL the way back". Harry smiled and walked away. See the walk back (and forward too I suppose) is a little less than 2 miles, so we figured he'd never do it. Wrong. He lugged them all the way! At one point Mike asked him how he was doing, and he replied "real-ly good". So cute. Then he proceeded to tell us that he needed to get the rocks back to the boat so they could have some water. When Mike told him the rocks didn't need water, Harry took offense. He insisted they did, and then further explained that one rock had already died and he didn't want the rest to die too!
Gotta love the imagination of an almost 5-year-old!
