Vacation Highlights: From Menemsha to Cotuit

Suns out again, and we're almost anchored in "our" spot!

We left Menemsha Tuesday morning and took a leisurely trip towards Cotuit Harbor & Sampson's Island. Along the way we stopped to let the boys hop in the towable tube, and Mike then pulled them right to the entrance to the channel. While they were on the tube it wasn't sunny, but it was warm and breezy. Not 15 seconds after I got them inside the big boat, the sky just opened opened up and it poured buckets for a total of 2 minutes. Entering the harbor, however, was like coming home. We love the quiet you can enjoy most any weekday, and the chaos that follows on the weekends as day trippers flock to the beach beginning at 10ish, and then as if a silent alarm goes off, they begin to leave at 5, and by 6 only a handful of overnighters remain.
