First Stop: Menemsha

Tapping into "Squidrow's" wi-fi here - and it's pretty spotty, but just a quick post to let ya'll know we're in Menemsha. We had seagull issues when we got to the boat (the entire canvas top was covered in poo!) so we had to tie up to the docks and scrub it down. Plus we had all the unpacking to do, and organizing 9 days worth of food. Since it was already late, we just mosied over to East Cove and spent the nite before heading out around 9 this morning. As soon as we entered the Harbor, I was reminded of what a great little place this is. As a retired Captain, Mike had been given permission from the Coast Guard to tie up at their docks for free! We're in heaven because for the first time all season we have electricity and hot water without turning on the generator! The boys are loving it here! We walked around town this afternoon, stopped by some of the fish markets and finally decided on a good sized lobster to accompany our dinner. Mike & Harry split it - neither Skip nor I felt like it tonite, but they're cheap and fresh in this fishing community!  After dinner we walked to the beach. No sunset per se, but a beautiful night anyway! We walked back to the boat, stopping for Ice Cream at the General Store. The boys are now trying to sleep, and I'll be right behind them. Mike is out on the swim platform fishing. Stripers are in, and you can hear them jumping outside, so he figured he'd give it a try. Supposed to be a beautiful day tomorrow, so hopefully most of it will be spent at the beach. If we're lucky, we'll get the sunset we're hoping for! Pictures don't wanna seem to upload - so I'll have to try tomorrow...now, time for me to sleep!
